Thank god that the NFL lockout finally came to an end. And thank god that on my Girlfriends birthday – September 3rd, college football will commence at the fullest, to me anyway, as I can witness FSU take the field and see how their defense and new offense will do. Not like they are playing a team that has the talent or coaching staff to compete with FSU – but will give some of the younger players some good play time before they take on the #1 Oklahoma Sooners.

My Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking pretty good so far – even though it is only half way through preseason, and they failed to establish anything against their scrimmage against the Patriots, but they have plenty of time to work out the kinks. Plus – all the rookies that brought them to a 10-6 team last year, are more experienced now, and I believe that the Tampa Bay Bucs will definitely make their way into the playoffs for the year 2012.

If you happen to live in the sunshine state of Florida, you might notice that during the summer time, there is pretty much a 50% chance that it is going to rain almost every single day. Being someone that is always driving every day, and usually all day, I get a lot of time driving in the rain, especially when it is pouring down pure hell where you cannot see 10 feet in front of you.

To make matters worse, when it is pouring down rainy hell here in Florida, stupid ass drivers don’t know how to turn their lights on so that other cars may see them – this is pretty important especially when you are driving on the interstate. About 10 years ago I started using Rain X on my windshield, and it makes a world of difference.

I have become so spoiled with it that I can’ t imagine myself driving in the Rain without it. Surprised that there aren’t more companies out there that are seriously competing with them – as driving down the highway with rain pouring down, and no visibility really sucks, but with a decent Rain X application, it makes the visibility 100% better.

So if you are living in an environment that constantly has down pours of rain, and want to make your experience of driving in the rain a more enjoyable one, then get your cheap ass to the store and purchase some Rain X. If anyone out there uses a similar product to increase visibility on the wind shield when driving in the rain – please feel free to leave a comment.

Not really sure where this rumor about facebook shutting down came from but I can definitely tell you that it is completely false. The rumor that has been spreading around the new on major networks such as twitter and around google have been talking about this for the past couple days. The more that people are seeing these rumors about facebook shutting down the more ansy and nervous people are getting, as we all know if you have a facebook page, there are many people that practically live on face book. Posting everything they do, everything that they eat, and so on. Posting 1,000′s of photos and making as many friends as they can, so that would be a great loss for them if the rumor would be true about facebook shutting down on March 15th.

Facebook is worth millions of dollars, and just about everyone and there mother has a facebook account, I think the number for the United States is about 40% of the United States has a facebook account. So I think that it would be bananas if facebook was shutting down for good. Plus I think that if this facebook shutdown was accurate, then I am sure that we would see something a little more official on the facebook.com page itself.

Zuckerberg, the founder and creator of the social network facebook, has been rumored to saying that facebook has got way out of control and is getting nothing but headaches from the worlds youngest billionare. Which I can see that it has. Applications like Farmville have zombified people into doing nothing but planting and harvesting crops every hour of the day. Blowing up peoples walls with pictures of their farm and asking them to send them gifts, which I think is quiet ridiculous. Instead of a facebook shutdown on March 15th I think that they should shut down all of these ville games, or make some option that you can ignore requests from such applications, unless they have that already I am not sure.

With all of that being said I think that the closing of facebook would push some people to suicidal thoughts. I know that sounds crazy but I know a lot of my facebook friends cannot go one hour without updating their status and letting all of their friends know how their workout at the gym went, like we care. I think that the rumor is far out there and seriously doubt that facebook will be closing march 15th, but I guess only time can tell, and until then, have fun social networking on facebook letting the world know that your having a bad hair day.

As a die hard FSU fan, this is for the first time in about 3 years, that FSU actually stands a chance of winning the football game. This is far from an easy victory though, and the Gators are not an elite team this year, but all of their losses this year have been to very good teams. FSU on the other hand, has lost a couple of close games to some sub par teams in the ACC, fallen in the last seconds to NC State and missing the game winning field goal against North Carolina.

The Vegas line as of now has Florida up 2 points, which is pretty accurate considering that they are playing at the Doak. This game could go either way. Urban Meyer is undefeated against the Noles and I think that tommorrow would be a great day to break that streak, and break the 6 game winning streak that the Gators have over the Seminoles. Go Noles!

I have always watched American Idol and have been a big fan since they started back from season one. This season I really have to say that Crystal Bowersox is one of my favorites that I have ever seen on the show, even though Big Mike Lynch is up there too and being that he is from my home town of Saint Petersburg, Florida, that I should be rooting for him all the way. But I have to say Lee Wyze in his first performance of the top four in American Idol 2010, did not do really well in his solo, but sure as hell shined in the duet with Crystal Bowersox, when they performed the song ‘falling slowly‘ by Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova from the movie “Once“.

This has to be the best performance that I have seen all season. I am pretty sure that the pretty boy will be knocked out of the top four after choosing his song “mrs. robinson”, although his duet was good also with big mike from saint petersburg, Florida, but really do not think it can hold a candle to the duet with crystal bowersox and lee wyze, which was just more than breathtaking in my opinion. If you had heard the motion soundtrack or even seen the trailer for the movie once, I think that the duet that we all heard tonight was ten times better than the original.

I also think that this is going to advance Lee Wyze into the top three, it is pretty obvious that Crystal Bowersox and Michael Lynch have secured a spot in the top three in my opinion. I have been telling everyone that they are going to be the final two and I wish that both of them could be winners. I am sure that many would agree with me on that too. I am still trying to get through the damn phone lines to vote, shit seems to take forever.

Well from my point of view anyway. By the way, happy 4-20 everybody. I am no professional sports analisyst or anything, nor can I even spell the word right, but the sweep over the Boston Red Sox at Boston was pretty darn impressive if you ask me. The most disappointing part of the Rays season so far has to be losing the series against those god damn Yankees. But you have to expect that and cannot expect to win every series you play against them, especially when they have more than double the budget of any major league baseball team, which I think is bullshit.

So now I am just sitting back drinking on a bacardi and pepsi, about to watch the Rays vs the White Sox, and hopefully it will be a really good game. I really expect the Rays to go the distance this year like they did a couple of years ago. I feel pretty confident we will be able to handle Boston again, although it is still really early in the season and there is a lot of major league baseball to be played still.

I am also excited about seeing David Price start tonight against the White Sox, I think that so far he has really improved in his pitching while he is starting 3-0. and hopefully that he can extend that win streak and extend the Tampa Bay Rays win streak also to 8 games on the road, I think all they need is to win about 3 more on the road and they will have a record, you cannot quote me on that though just something that I read in the newspaper today. Until then that is all this drunk maintenance man has to blog about today. I am going to try and keep this place updated daily so hopefully I will see you all here tomorrow.

I can’t believe that Urban Meyer is Leaving Florida!

I was just checking out one of my favorite blogs Tomahawk Nation, and seen that the Head Coach for the Florida Gators Urban Meyer will be retiring from the Florida Gators due to health issues. If you are a Seminole Fan or any one that does not like the Gators like I do, this is great news as this is the point where the Gator program will start to fall. They will remain in the Top 25 next season, due to them still getting great recruiting classes, but I see this as they are falling apart. First they lose their defensive coach, now Urban Meyer Retiring due to health reasons.

As much success as Urban Meyer has had with the Florida Gators, I really cannot believe that this is happening, and he always appeared to be high spirited and in somewhat good shape. I must tell you that hearing the news of Urban Meyer Resigning really came as a shocker to me and I know it must have came as a shocker too all of the Gator fans. Not only that, this is happening the same year that Florida States head coach Bobby Bowden, is also retiring from the Florida State Seminoles. Now maybe without Urban Meyer in the picture the Seminoles will have a better chance of beating the Gators next year, which I think that they would have anyways.

So now the question is who are they going to pick up next as a head coach. Whoever it is you know that they are going to be more than qualified for the position, but this may also hurt the rest of their recruiting efforts. Who knows, this may make some of the recruits change their mind and back out, for Florida State fans, we can only hope that this effects Elam, a top scouted defensive player out of high school to go with his second choice college football team, which was Florida State. That is all the information I have at the moment on Urban Meyer Retiring.

Urban Meyer is Stepping Down, I would have liked to see the Seminoles beat his team next year but I guess it really doesn’t matter, I feel for him and I hope that he gets better. Although I heard a rumor that he is not stepping down due to health reasons now…guess we will find out in the near future, I am sure ESPN will be talking all about it after tonight’s Bowl game between USC and Boston College.
