As if you didn’t know or could not tell by all the drunken ramblings and pictures that are on my blog, that I happen to be a Florida State fan and also a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, two franchises that have been really good in the past…20 years giver or take a couple. For instance up to 2001, the Florida State Seminoles football team had made 14 consecutive appearances in the top 4 of the AP poll as well as 5 national title appearances, 2 of them they won. Damn the other 3 that we lost.
One thing about this football season though thus far that finally cheered me up is the Buccaneers getting there first victory of the year. The real reason that this cheered me up is that I was able to be apart of this win, and most importantly our future franchise quarterback Josh Freeman got his first NFL start and he also got his first NFL victory, only the third Buccaneer rookie quarterback to win their first starting game in the NFL. A comment that I had read in the paper today from Pro-Bowler John Lynch, is that they started Josh Freeman about 7 games too late. Now I am not saying we would have a winning record or an outstanding one if we started him…but it would more than likely be a lot better than 1-7.
